Redan efter ett par terminer på BMC fick han nys om en projektkurs som gav honom möjlighet att forska på eget initiativ. Kursen gav honom blodad tand och efter projektet dröjde det inte länge innan han på egen hand började söka stipendium för att kunna fortsätta med det forskningsinriktade arbetet”.

It is people like Marcus that we need!

After Lundaloppet today MST Lund had a sitting at Lund’s nation. We had way too much fun!

At the seminar today we had debates, and since they never heard me debate from a liberal perspective before (read: the opposite) I naturally thought that I were to debate either from a Marxist, feminist or realist perspective. I was right. I debated from a Marxist and realist point of view. Moreover, I came to realize that I am a really lousy Marxist. It was so much more fun to debate as a realist! Anyway, afterwards, I went directly to the polling station and voted for Moderata Samlingspartiet (Nya Moderaterna). Surprisingly I was the first to vote in Lund! Hurray!

I am over at Casablanca having a little chat with some of the members after the annual meeting.  Food- and surrounding wise the restaurant gets 3 out of five points. Most of the restaurants in Hässleholm are rather outdated in my point of view.

When I am sitting here at the M-premise, looking at all the newly recruited members, I recall the time when I was new in Moderata Ungdomförbundet. I became active the autumn 2007, it was a new academic year and the perfect time for a new challenge. Becoming active in a political youth organization is probably one of the best choices I’ve ever done in my life! I can reveal that all my engagement did truly pay off big-time! All the conferences I’ve been to, all those impetuous debates, all those friends I’ve made, all those fun times we’ve had together, all those skillfulness I’ve been taught… I’ve been giving so much in return for my commitment so the list is never-ending in fact.

Therefore, I sit here with pure joy looking at those new faces having so much to explore and so much to learn with MUF Göinge. It is truly a challenge ahead.

This actually applies in most cases, everywhere. So, how far will you take your involvement? That is up to each and every individual, but they are all given the same chances to take a part of all the possibilities that are right in front of them. The last thing is for you to fulfill them. Stay sharp!

I am ready to go! Next up is the annual meeting with MUF Hässleholm and then we are going out eating – a good night with first-class company in other words!

The bill about military service has been debated for over one hour now. I believe that Fredrik Ljunghill, Jonathan Jönsson and David Konow are the most active speakers here, in this debate at least. We’ll see how much further they need to debate before Meeting can move to decision whether to grant the bill or to reject it in its entirety.

The banquet was magnificent, like always. There were speeches good food and drink. I had Erik Raita and Tobias Hammar next to me at the table. In short words – MUF Skåne arranged a fabulous sitting!
