MUF Skåne annual meeting
I went with MUF Göinge in order to get to the annual meeting with Skåne in Kristianstad. The event is streamed live the 12-13 February at www.mufskane.se/2011. The election of committee took quite some time before we could start to process the bills.
Fantastic Pia Kinhult attended the political conference both by being a speaker and moderator through the negotiations.

Lunch with Sofia Arkelsten
I had a quick lunch with Sofia Arkelsten (the party secretary for the Moderate Party) and members from both Moderaterna and Moderata Ungdomsförbundet. She is a fantastic person with clearly set goals and I strongly believe that she will do a great job as the party secretary for M.
Both currently and in the future, it is vital that Sofia (and other representatived from the Moderate Party) is visiting and reaching out to as many youths as possible, learning from the statistics from the general election. That is why MUF plays such an essential role in the society!

Nima about deficient integration
We have just been to Sparbankssalen at the university in order to listen to the political writer, Nima Sanandaij, talking about about deficient integration in Sweden. The event was arranged by Moderata Ungdomsförbundet Södra Älvsborg and it was so much fun seeing so many other people joining, both those that is politically engaged and those that are curious about it.
Later on, Oliver and I decided to go and have a glass of wine, but first, we will be buying him a new outfit for tonight. At the present it looks like we will be moving the whole clan here for a place to eat. We will see where we will end up. Being highly spontaneous tonight I suppose, a good Friday.

Urkällan by Ayn Rand
I have had a stressful day in Gothenburg. In total, I’ve been doing a lot of Christmas shopping, sorting out papers, cleansed my whole jewelry wardrobe, have had my brother for a visit and been planning the following week of course. Now, I am going to read Urkällan by Ayn Rand and drink my tea. Tomorrow I will be going to school early to study before my class. Then, I will probably dedicate the rest of my evening writing essays.
The alliance at Vimmel
Last night was incredibly interesting and with a very wide spectra of topics! As I presumed there were a lot of debates going on between the different unions. Our goal with the event was to bond the alliance in Borås further! Though, I have to encourage a lot of those involved to take a more active step toward social communication and learn the concept of mingling. Better luck next time. Otherwise, we had a fabulous time!
“Länge leve alliansen”

Janoch, Mona, myself, Elisabeth and Jacob arranged the event at Vimmel!
Niklas Wykman speaking
This is the very last stop for today – the M-premise! First we sat while listening to Anette Persson Carlssson (M) about different boards in Borås. Then, Niklas Wykman, Moderata Ungdomsförbundets (MUF) chairperson, spoke about his view on the election result and the new campaign “Upp till kamp” among many other things. He will resign at the union conference in one month approximately, it is quite sad in one way since he have in my opinion been a fantastic chairman for MUF! But we believe in the future. Upp till kamp.

The general election 2010
What a night!!! There is so much charge and feelings involved. Even though the Moderate Party made its best election ever and we got the right wing government reelected, it’s still hard to be delighted as Sweden Democrats (Swe: Sverigedemokraterna, SD) entered our Swedish government with 6 per cent of the votes. I held discussions with Jan Ericsson and Cecile Toftby, both members of the parliament, concerning this matter. The Social Democrats (Swe: Socialdemokratera, S) did their worst election since 1914 and one can now establish that their power domination is now broken.
We did the best election though modern time and succeeded to get 30 per cent! And 94% of the Swedish population did not vote for the Sweden Democrats and we are not a country that discriminates! The fight is not over, it has only begun.
